I’ve enjoyed Karen this season, her matter of factness over the serious shit that she’s been at the center of I’ve found funnier than evil on her part, but I really hope next season they give Laura Wiggins more to work with, and humanize her more. I feel like they’ve almost made her out to be a villain this season.

Regardless “Get Fucked” doesn’t sound even remotely british to me, it just sounds like a phrase people use when angry, now if it were twat, or wanker I’d see what you’re talking about. One of the wonderful things about Shameless US is the fact that after season 1 they’ve strayed completely away from the UK show, and even season 1 itself follows the british show pretty loosely save episode one and two. It’s not like the skins remake which was horrid, and did keep a lot of the british slang without modifying it, and doing just about everything worse.
Take into account I’m not slamming the British show, I actually really enjoy the british show, I just think the US version is better (after all it has the same creator), is that such a sin, and I’m not a big fan of people being so against it, it’s only brought a larger audience to the UK version, and it hasn’t toned anything down. Dislike it sure, but it’s not hurting anyone.

British slang? Since when is “get fucked” exclusive to the “british” vocabulary? It’s actually a line from the US Show. But I’d also like to add, I’m not insulting fans of the original. If anything in that post the US fans are getting insulted, and I was defending “us”. What I said about our Lip is very subjective (I do like the lip from the original), but it is how I feel. I feel Jeremy Allen White’s interpretation of him is so much more interesting, and we see so many more sides.
